Special Ingredients

1 ½ tablespoons hardwood activated charcoal powder, 1 tablespoon Indian healing clay powder (calcium bentonite), 1 tablespoon ground oats, ½ tablespoon coarse sodium bentonite clay, 2 teaspoons sodium lactate, ½ oz. peppermint and ½ oz. eucalyptus essential oils (Natures Truth brand), and 1 oz. jewelweed extract (Impatiens pallida).

Recipe

Set aside 1 oz. of the melted shear butter to combine with essential oils and jewelweed extract. Combine all remaining oils. Add the sodium lactate to the cooled lye water mixture. Add the lye water to the oils and bring to a very light trace. Stir in the charcoal powder, ground oats, Indian healing powder, and coarse sodium bentonite clay, and then add the shea butter, fragrance oils, jewelweed extract mixture. Pour the batch into a mold and let sit overnight. Cut the soap bars and let cure for 4 weeks before using.
